What does NÓVA mean?
NÓVA comes from the Portuguese word for “new” — a symbol of rebirth, new beginnings, and starting again. Because at some point, we’ve all had to do it. New city, new career, new friendships, new relationships, a new version of ourselves. It’s uncomfortable, it’s exciting, and sometimes it’s lonely. Nóva represents that exact moment — when everything is unfamiliar, but everything is possible.
What is NÓVA - Why create this club?
Because starting over sounds empowering… until you’re actually doing it.
You leave everything behind — your friends, your routines, your comfort; thinking you’re building something better. And you are. But no one talks about the in-between: the weekends with no plans, the surface-level friendships, the feeling of being surrounded by people but not really known.
I created Nóva because I’ve been there. I moved to Spain for work, thinking it would be easy to build a life here. But it wasn’t. People already had their circles, their history, their routines — and breaking into that isn’t as simple as just “putting yourself out there.”
So I stopped waiting for something to exist… and built it.
Who is this for ?
This is for you if you’re starting over.
If you moved here for studies, for work, for love, or just because you needed a change. If you're figuring things out, rebuilding your life, or trying to find your place again.
If you've ever thought:
" "I just want a group of girls I can actually connect with."
" "Everyone here already has their people."
" "I'm tired of surface-level friendships."
They say it takes a village — and maybe you're still looking for yours.
